Information and Contacts

Thank you again for your interest in Joshua Tree Vacation Homes. Please take a moment to go over the following information. It is recommended that you print out and carry these papers with you when checking in.

* The Sahara House is located just minutes from Joshua Tree National Monument. We will send you detailed driving directions to the Sahara House along with your confirmation information.

* Upon arrival you will find a key lock box at the front door. Your 4 digit combination code will match the last 4 digits of the credit card number on file with JTVH. After opening the door please replace the key in the lock box. We have provided a convenience key on the kitchen counter for daily use. Please leave key on counter at check-out.

* Check-in time 4:00 p.m. Check-out 11:00 a.m. Please respect these times as maids will be arriving to complete the departure cleaning and prepare for the next tenant. If different times are needed, contact us prior to arrival.

* Please leave the kitchen and house AS YOU HAVE FOUND IT. There is NOT a daily maid service. We offer you a very nice, clean home, and expect the same care in return from you. Neglectful use will result in additional charges.

* You do NOT need to wash linens/towels but please leave all wet linens in the laundry room.

* Recycling & Trash Barrels can be found outside. If recycling please place only clean glass, aluminum, plastic or paper in bin. All other trash should be deposited in the regular garbage.

* Please do NOT put tampons, pads, or diapers in the toilet. It ruins the septic and clogs the toilet.

* Declare extra guests & pets or you will be charged $50/guest/day. NO outside party guests.

* You are welcome to smoke outside the home but please NO SMOKING in the house. Please pick up any discarded butts and dispose of appropriately.

* BBQ is PROPANE GAS and ready for your use. Do NOT place charcoal briquettes in gas grill.

* The Sahara House is pet-friendly but please be responsible for your pet both inside and outside. The yard is fenced but be aware that Joshua Tree National Park and the surrounding areas have many wild animals and birds of prey. The safety of your pet is your responsibility. If your dog is a digger, extra care must be taken as most diggers will make short work of the soft sand around the fence line and beyond.

* Food. The town of Twentynine Palms has a two grocery stores and several restaurants. The Rio Ranch Market can be found downtown with the larger Stater Brothers Grocery further west towards the town of Joshua Tree.

* The Sahara House is stocked with linens, paper towels, bath tissue, a hair dryer, etc.

* The High Desert Medical facility is about 15 minutes to the west of downtown Twentynine Palms. Located at 6601 White Feather Rd Joshua Tree, CA 92252 Phone number: 760-366-3711 also at: http://serv1.hdmc.org/

* There is NO phone at the Sahara House, but cell service is available for your cell phone.

* Please report any discrepancies or damaged items upon arrival. Report any emergencies immediately. JTVH can be reached at 602-725-3249.
